  19. We have quite a few documents which contain footnotes, i.e. links to
  20. short clarifications or definitions which don't break the flow of the
  21. main text. Other browsers generally display them separately from the
  22. main text in pop-up windows, but they remain part of the document, not
  23. a separate file.

  25. I'm trying to translate these documents into HTML. Any chance of a
  26. footnote tag in HTML to make life easier?

  28. Pro tem, I'll probably shove them at the end after a separator, and put
  29. intra document links there and back, but I can't help thinking there's
  30. a more elegant way.
